The New Era of Arab Cinema

Mohamed El-Rashidy, a talented filmmaker, first gained recognition when his short films, created during his studies at the International Academy for Media Science, were selected for multiple festivals and won several local and international awards. After obtaining his filmmaking certificate from the New York Film Academy in 2013, his dedication and skill earned him an Apple certification in editing.

El-Rashidy founded TREND VFX, a post-production house known for its inventive concepts and distinct approach. His first major production, “MAKO” the Middle East’s first shark movie was released in 2021 across several countries, including Egypt, Japan, China, Russia, turkey, Korea, middle east and India.

Building on this success, he launched the drama series “حدث بالفعل” which consists of 101 Stories, released in 2023 on platforms like Shahid, Netflix and Jawwy.

At the end of 2023, El-Rashidy is directing OSCAR, a major cinematic film considered a turning point in Egyptian and Arab cinematic production. It combines wonderful visual effects and advanced technology in the world of graphics, providing a unique experience that Arab screens have never seen before. It is regarded as the first Arab film to feature a giant creature, making it an unmissable cinematic experience.

OSCAR is in its final stages, alongside his role as director of the Ramadan 2024 series “Good Girls”. His journey continues with massive upcoming projects, pushing the boundaries of Arab cinematic production.
